At a glance

One platform, three operational surfaces.

VietRide was designed as more than a ticket marketplace. Passengers use a React Native app to search and book intercity trips, pay, manage parcels and follow vehicles in real time; Drivers and Assistants use a dedicated crew app; Operators supervise routes, trips, bookings, parcels and disruptions through the web console.

Booking as one continuous flow.

The passenger journey moves from departure, destination and date selection to trip search, seat choice, pickup/drop-off configuration, review and payment through VietRide Wallet or VNPay. After payment, the Digital Ticket becomes available; if a VNPay transaction is still pending, the user can return from booking history and continue instead of starting over.

Real-time visibility after checkout.

Eligible tickets and parcels can open live tracking. The app shows vehicle position, ETA, route progress and upcoming stops, lets the passenger follow the vehicle or inspect the full route, and supports a secure shareable live-tracking link.

contents

VietRide is an FPT University capstone platform for intercity transport in Vietnam. It connects Passenger, Driver/Assistant and Operator/System Admin workflows across mobile and web, covering ticket booking, wallet/VNPay payment, live GPS/ETA, parcel delivery, notifications and operational monitoring.

Parcel delivery inside the same app.

Parcel shipment starts with sending and receiving terminals, parcel dimensions, weight, category and recipient details. The passenger then selects an eligible trip, reviews the quote and pays through VietRide Wallet or VNPay. Once processing begins, the app exposes the parcel status timeline and live vehicle location when tracking is active.

Operations continue beyond the passenger app.

Crew members can start assigned trips, broadcast GPS, confirm passenger boarding, update stop progress, handle parcel loading/unloading/delivery, report incidents and participate in disruption workflows. Operators manage routes, vehicles, schedules, active trips, bookings, parcels, incidents, vouchers, settlements and reports through the web console.

Testing the passenger journey end to end.

My Passenger-app testing responsibility covered 17 modules and 154 test cases across Integration, System and Acceptance Testing. The overall project executed three testing rounds covering authentication, booking and payment, digital tickets, real-time tracking, parcel flows, notifications, authorization and common UI behavior.

What VietRide was designed to improve.

The product targets a fragmented intercity-bus workflow where booking, daily operations and live trip information are often disconnected. VietRide aims to reduce manual work for operators while giving passengers a clearer, more transparent journey from purchase to arrival.
